Symposium on Mental Health & Counselling Held in Mira Road

Under the banner of Rahat Counselling Centre, a successful symposium was organized by JIH Mumbai Metro on 28th June 2025 at Mira Road, with the participation of around 170 women. Rehana Deshmukh, Nazima Mumbai Metro, introduced the objectives of the program, setting the tone for the sessions. Renowned psychiatrist Dr. Nahid Dave delivered an insightful talk on the importance of mental health and counselling, using practical illustrations to engage the audience. Dr. Shaista Bi Siddiqui, a clinical psychologist and counsellor, elaborated on key aspects of counselling and conducted interactive exercises that saw enthusiastic participation. Nargis Qureshi, a student of Person-Centred Counselling, highlighted Islamic perspectives on counselling with relevant references from the Qur’an and Hadith. The event concluded successfully and on time, leaving attendees informed and inspired.
